Hard Hats, Hammers and Hot Dogs (H4)
The manufacturing and construction industries are facing a severe shortage of skilled workers and if not addressed the shortage will increase. Our goal is to make young people aware of the tremendous opportunities ranging from entry level apprenticeship and high-tech positions to professional opportunities that exist.
Local industries participate as an exhibitor and /or sponsor of the event. As an exhibitor we ask that they provide information and/or products and tools that can be used, demonstrated and put into application by students that will excite and spark their interest in the field of manufacturing and construction. Skilled tradespeople assist in hands-on demonstrations of welding, heavy equipment operation, conduit bending, carpentry, plumbing, painting, brick laying, cement masonry and safety and much more.
